"Hurricane" broke the hegemony of "Prodexim", winning the Futsal Extra-League

In the final confrontation in the Extra-League of the 2020/2021 season, Ivano-Frankivsk's Hurricane proved to be stronger than Kherson's Prodexim.

The decisive confrontation in the playoffs began with two victories of Maxim Pavlenko's wards. In the third match of the series, the Southerners reduced the gap, but on May 18 they lost again, which put an end to the final.

This means that Prodexim's four-year dominance in the Extra-League is over. Hurricane became the champion of Ukraine for the second time in history and for the first time since 2011.

Both matches in the series for the third place were won by Kyiv "HIT", which defeated Lviv "Energia" and won bronze medals.

Note that last season, which ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the winners of the Extra-League were the same three teams. Prodexim was the champion, HIT finished second and Hurricane third.

We will add that Ivano-Frankivsk will represent Ukraine in the next draw of the UEFA Champions League in futsal.
