Today in Porto at the stadium "Dragao" will be the final match of the Champions League 2020/2021, in which the English "Manchester City" Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko will meet with compatriots from "Chelsea" (the meeting will start at 22.00 Kyiv time).

The football player of our national team can become only the third Ukrainian who will appear on the field in the decisive match of the Champions League. Andriy Shevchenko and Anatoliy Tymoschuk could boast of such an achievement before him.

The current head coach of the national team of Ukraine has participated in the finals of the Champions League three times. In 2003, it was Shevchenko's shot from the 11-meter mark that brought Milan the Champions Cup. In two years, Rosso-Neri and Shevchenko lost in a series of penalties to Liverpool. And in 2008, the Ukrainian from the bench for the English "Chelsea" watched the defeat of his team from "Manchester United" (also in the penalty shootout).

In 2010, Anatoliy Tymoschuk watched the match, but the German "Bavaria", watched the match lost by the Italian "Inter" in Munich. In 2012, Tymoschuk played a full match for Bayern, but could not prevent Chelsea from winning, again, in a penalty shootout. Within a year, the story from the 2010 final was repeated for Anatoly personally, but this time his Bayern defeated Borussia Dortmund.

It should be added that this season in the Champions League played two Ukrainian teams - Shakhtar and Dynamo. And both showed the same result - took third place in their groups and moved to the playoffs of the Europa League.
