The opening of the Olympic House took place in Dnipro with the participation of the President of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, member of the UEFA Executive Committee, Vice-President of the NOC Andrii Pavelko, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Huttsait, President of the NOC of Ukraine Serhii Bubka, legends of Ukrainian football and Olympic sports took part in opening the Olympic House in Dnipro .

This is a new building, which houses the offices of all Olympic sports federations of Dnipropetrovsk region. Also on the ground floor is the Museum of Olympic Achievements, which presents valuable exhibits related to various historical sporting events or belonged to prominent athletes of the past and present. The Olympic House is part of a modern multifunctional complex for Olympic sports. The initiator of the reconstruction of this facility was once the president of the UAF, the head of the NOC branch in the Dnipropetrovsk region Andriy Pavelko. The main part of the project was successfully completed within the framework of the program of the President of Ukraine Large Construction.

In addition to the offices of the regional federations, the Olympic House on the ground floor has coaching rooms and locker rooms for teams, as well as a conference room, on the second - a medical center, where athletes will be monitored and receive emergency care. The doctor's office is equipped with the necessary medical equipment. The building provides inclusiveness for people with disabilities. Particular emphasis during construction is placed on energy efficiency. At the center, athletes and coaches will be able to hold meetings and plan preparations for competitions.

During his visit to the Olympic House, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi had the opportunity to talk with honorary guests of the event, including Oleh Blokhin, Ihor Belanov, Oleh Protasov, Anatolii Demyanenko, Oleksii Mykhailychenko, who now work in the Ukrainian Association of Football team, and Olympic champion, Olympic medalists Viktor Savchenko and Dina Miftahutdinova.

The Head of State also received a special gift from UAF President Andriy Pavelko - a shirt from the new kit of the national team of Ukraine, which was so popular with all fans, with autographs of players and the coaching staff of the team led by Andriy Shevchenko. Zelenskyi was pleasantly surprised about the getting new kit of the national team.

"Today is a historic day for all Ukrainian sports. The long-awaited opening of the Olympic House took place in my native Dnipro, which has no analogues not only in Ukraine, but also in many other countries. I would like to thank to the Head of State for the support and successful completion of this project under the Large Construction program. The Olympic House opened today with the magnificent Museum of Olympic Achievements of Dnipropetrovsk region, the modern Olympic Center nearby and the Olympic Reserves Stadium can now be officially called the best multifunctional sports complex in Ukraine. Thousands of children, teenagers, students and professional athletes train here every day. I sincerely wish them all great victories and glorification of our country abroad!” - Andrii Pavelko noted in his welcoming speech on the occasion of the holiday.

"I was very pleased to visit the complex and talk to athletes, Olympic medalists. To achieve results and victories you need to have an experienced coach. But it is equally important that modern training conditions are created. And I am glad that such a sports center is being built in Dnipro,” - Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.

Distinguished guests of the Olympic House had the opportunity to see the exposition of the Museum of Olympic Achievements and leave their wishes. "It is a great pride for me to be here, together with every champion, athlete, winner - real heroes of Ukraine. Honor and glory to you and all those who made this house a place of sports heart of Dnipro. Sincerely, Volodymyr Zelenskyi (compatriot)," - the President wrote.

Together with the Head of State, Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Huttsait, Head of the Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko and UAF Vice-President Yurii Holyk, an inspection of the reconstruction of the Kryvyi Rih arena Metallurg was carried out, where construction works are in full swing. According to Andrii Pavelko, after their completion, the national teams of Ukraine will be able to expand the geography of their home matches.

According to the project, it is planned to repair the stands of the sports arena, which are designed for 19,4 thousand spectators. In particular, seats and fences between sectors will be replaced, a new building for sports facilities will be erected and a work area will be organized for media representatives. The stadium will be equipped with a system of turnstiles, internal and external video surveillance, as well as a new electronic scoreboard with a control system. In addition, it is planned to reconstruct the pitch and replace the lighting. The territory will be landscaped, which includes the reconstruction of driveways and pedestrian areas, arrangement of parking spaces, installation of outdoor lighting, fencing and landscaping.
