Vitalii Mykolenko: We will be at the peak of physical shape before the first game at Euro 2020

A press conference with the participation of national football players Taras Stepanenko and Vitalii Mykolenko took place today at the Ukrainian Media Center in Bucharest.

Here are the answers to Vitalii Mykolenko's questions.

- There are currently 10 players from Dynamo Kyiv in the national team. How much does it help you?

- I don't think it is necessary to discuss the topic of the club now, we are currently part of the national team, everyone defends the colors of the country. We came on positive emotions after the club season, but we don't mention or talk about the club now.

- Did you communicate in Bucharest with your club coach Mircea Lucescu?

- I have not seen Mircea Lucescu in Bucharest yet, but I hope that there will be an opportunity to talk to him before the matches, to exchange views.

- Such a long gathering as now is very rare. Are you physically at your peak?

- I think it's right that we were gathered earlier, the season ended for different teams at different times. But now we are at the same level of physical training. I think we will be at the peak before the first game.

- How did Mircea Lucescu help you progress in the results and how will it help in the game with the Netherlands?

- After Lucescu came to Dynamo, we went to the Champions League, played at the highest level, many for the first time. I think it will help us at Euro 2020.

- What do you think about the national team of the Netherlands, your first opponent in the tournament?

- This is a very strong team, we played against the youth national teams of this country. These were teams with great players, it is always difficult to resist them.

- How do you feel on the eve of the first match?

- My physical condition is excellent, in terms of morale - there is some excitement, because for me this is the first Euro. The first game is always exciting.
