At Euro 2020, the national team of Ukraine left the group for the first time in the history of performances at the European Championships, then reached the quarterfinals. At Euro 2012 and Euro 2016, the teams of Oleg Blokhin and Mykhailo Fomenko, respectively, stopped fighting after three matches of the group tournament.
