"The signed document is the next stage of long-term cooperation to support our defenders. After all, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and state institutions responsible for the participants in hostilities, we have been jointly organizing numerous events for our defenders and their children since 2015. This includes the transfer of 20 apartments to the families of the fallen Heroes, and the holding of tournaments in Ukraine, and international friendly matches, and social initiatives for the Heroes' children, and the invitation of defenders to national team matches, and support for wounded soldiers in hospitals. By the way, veterans Artem Lukashuk and Petro Shevchenko present at the event as part of the Cherkasy Cossacks team won silver medals in 2019 at the Unconquered Cup, which was launched by the UAF. It is very important and honorable for us to help these brave people who risked their lives and health for the sake of peace in Ukraine and all of us, to feel cared for and to adapt to normal life. Thank you to Vadim Gutzayt and Yulia Laputina for the joint initiative in this extremely bright and important matter! I would also like to thank the veterans-defenders who are actively involved in sports, for a touching video in support of the national team of Ukraine, recorded at the NSC "Olympic" before the 1/8 finals of Euro 2020. Your wishes helped the team win this historic match! UAF is your reliable friend and we are always happy to support you and look forward to seeing you at the next match of the national team - against France, which will take place at the NSC "Olympic", - said the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko.
