During the NTC, a meeting was held with the President of the UAF, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko. According to him, thanks to Euro 2020 and the success of our national team, interest in football in Ukraine has grown significantly. This means that more attention will be paid to the referee's work in matches, in particular the PFL, where the number of second league clubs will increase in the new season, and the UPL, which is returning to the format with 16 participating clubs. "The UAF's priority, which is to minimize the risks of possible influence on the referee by clubs and other stakeholders, remains unchanged. As promised, we are preparing a number of decisions and changes to the regulations, including UPL, which will help protect arbitrators from such influence. This is a significant increase in the salaries of UPL and PFL referees. In addition, the practice of organizing a meeting of referees before home matches by the host clubs is stopped. Also, the referee has already been provided with the necessary updated equipment. Instead, the referees have to prove their class on the field and constantly improve their professionalism, "said Andriy Pavelko.
