Oleksiy Mykhailychenko: "Matches in memory of our fallen soldiers are no less important than games at the European Championship"

Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association, commented on the meeting with Oleksandr Shyshko's family and another match in memory of a Ukrainian army soldier who died in Donbas in 2014.

- Of course, such meetings are very important, - said Oleksiy Mykhailychenko. - I am very pleased that his family and friends are holding a friendly match in memory of Oleksandr Shyshko. I think football was a part of his life. This is what he loved. It was a piece of that peaceful life. I believe that the attention of the UAF in the person of President Andriy Pavelko to such matches is no less important than the attention to the games at the European Championship or the World Cup. Only thanks to our guys, defenders who defend our freedom, such as Oleksandr Shyshko, can we live in a peaceful country and do what we love.
