Clarification of the Referees Committee regarding the interpretation of certain game episodes in the first league match Alliance - Metalist

The Referees Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football explained some points in the PFL First league match Alliance (Lime Valley) - Metalist (Kharkiv), which took place on July 26, 2021.

Episode 1. 37th minute

37 minutes. The game situation is related to a violation / foul, namely:

• disruption of the obvious goal opportunity (ZOGM), during the violation.

FC Alliance's №4 player commits a foul / foul (№12's shot in the back) in the vicinity of his own penalty area as he controls the ball and apparently moves in the direction of the opponent's goal. According to the requirements of the current Rules of the game and the relevant criteria, violations in such game situations should be treated as ZOGM and punished free kick and red card for the violator. The actions and decisions made by the referee in this game episode were fair and in accordance with the requirements of the current Rules of the game (see Rules of the game 21/22).

Episode 2. 79th minute

79 minutes. The game situation is related to a violation / foul, namely:

• improper use of hands (delay of hands) when conducting martial arts / fighting for the riding ball, which disrupted the prospective attack (ZPA) of the opponent.

FC Alliance's №11 player was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. His shot came in from the right hand side. The actions and decisions made by the referee meet the requirements of the current Rules of the Game and the expected level of refereeing. In such game situations, illegal actions by the defender of №94 FC Alliance should be treated as ZPA and punished free kick and yellow card for the offender, which was the second that led to his removal from the field (see Rules of the game 21/22).
