Andriy Pyatov: "We need the same support from the stands as at the match with France in 2013"

Together with Oleksandr Petrakov, the goalkeeper of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Pyatov took part in the pre-match press conference on the eve of the game with France.

- In 2013, you already took part in a match against France at the same stadium, and then the national team won this team only once. What must be done tomorrow to repeat that result?

- We need the same support from the stands as then. The guys will give all their strength on the field, as in that match, however, as in every game. I hope that everything will be fine tomorrow.

- After Euro 2020, you announced the end of your career in the national team, but then returned to the team. How long did it take you to persuade?

- We talked to Alexander Vasilyevich about this, and I asked for a couple of days to discuss it with my wife. This question is very important. My wife supported this decision, and in the end I agreed.

- You did not have enough game tone due to lack of practice. How do you feel now in a physical sense?

- It's good that I had the opportunity to play four matches for the club before I was called up to the national team. As for the physical condition, I feel good. I will add that I am very glad to have the opportunity to work with the national team goalkeeping coach Vyacheslav Kernozenko.
