Oleksandr Zinchenko: "We have a lot of respect for the Czech national team, but we have our own goals"

Oleksandr Zinchenko, the midfielder of the national team of Ukraine, took part in the pre-match press conference together with Oleksandr Petrakov on the eve of the game with the Czech national team.

- What can you say about the players of the Czech national team who play in the English Prem'air league?

- Players who play for Premier League clubs do not need additional representation. These are the leaders of the Czech national team. The way these players and the Czech team performed in general at Euro 2020 deserves respect. I think we will have a spectacular game tomorrow.

- Was it difficult for you to watch the match against France from the stands and how important is the result of tomorrow's match?

- It is always difficult to watch the game from the outside, I have no idea how the head coach feels. The day I become a coach, I will probably lose my hair. When your team plays, it is always harder for a player to be on the podium than on the field.

We have a lot of respect for the Czech national team, but we have our own goals. We need a good result tomorrow to prepare for the next games on a positive background.

- Accept congratulations on the birth of your daughter and tell us how you feel, how much did this event affect your career?

- Thank you, everything is fine. Unfortunately, athletes have such a life that in the month that has passed since the birth of my daughter, I could not even be with her for three nights. But I am very motivated, I have heard that when a child appears, life changes. Now I can confirm that this is indeed the case.
