Kharkiv's Zhytlobud-1 beat Cyprus's Apollo for the second time and advanced to the group stage of the 2021/2022 Women's Champions League.

Ukrainian women in Limassol won over with a score of 2: 1, so the USC "Metalist" had to confirm the advantage. Valentina Kotyk's charges didn't delay with the goals and led to two goals by the 20th minute. First, Boychenko closed the shot from the right flank, and later Ovdiychuk struck an accurate header.

In the second half, Zhytlobud-1 increased its advantage - Ovdiychuk made a double. After that, the Cypriots hit the crossbar, and later still played one ball due to Aleksanyan's own goal. Then the Ukrainians could score more, but did not take advantage of the moments, the rivals once again aimed at the frame. However, in the end the match ended with a score of 3: 1.

Therefore, Zhytlobud-1 made it to the first group round in the history of the Women's Champions League in the sum of two matches. The draw for this stage will take place on September 13.
