September. Chronicle of events: a draw with the world champions, the winning start of the "youth" in the Euro selection and a new premium sponsor of the national team

In September, the national team of Ukraine held three matches, including two - in the selection of the 2022 World Cup. The youth team started with two victories in the Euro-2023 qualification, and the beach soccer team played in the Euroleague Super Final.

September 1. The delegation of the Ukrainian Football Association returned home from the United States, where visited on a working visit in Chicago and Washington.

During the trip abroad, UAF representatives, led by the president of the association, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation with colleagues from the US Soccer Federation. The meeting was also attended by UAF First Vice Presidents Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, Anatoliy Demyanenko and Vadym Kostyuchenko, UAF Vice President and Secretary General Yuriy Zapisotsky, UAF Legal Department Director Igor Gryshchenko, US Soccer Secretary General Will Wilson, US Soccer Sports Director Ernie Stewart and US Soccer Development Director Dan Russell.

The main topics of discussion were the development of bilateral cooperation in women's football (the US national team is the current world champion), possible areas of cooperation in youth football, plans for friendly matches between national, women's and youth national teams, projects to create bases for national teams. Ukraine and the United States, experience in implementing the VAR system, as well as the organization of joint training football camps for children in Ukraine and the United States.

September 1. Entered into force cooperation agreement for a period of three years between UAF and Vbet, the new Premium Sponsor of the national football team of Ukraine.

September 8. The national team of Ukraine completed the September training camp away draw in a friendly match with the Czech Republic - 1: 1. September 9. Kharkiv ZhFK "Zhytlobud-1" for the second time beat Cypriot Apollo (3: 1) and became the first Ukrainian team to advance to the group stage of the Women's Champions League.

9-12 September. The Ukrainian beach soccer team played in the 2021 Euroleague Super Final in the Portuguese town of Figueira da Foz, where it took seventh place. Mykola Kostenko's wards were defeated in the group round by Portugal (5:7), Italy (3:5) and Switzerland (6:7), and in a kind of comforting finale defeated Poland - 7: 3.

September 9-12. Along with the men's team in Figueira da Foz, the women's beach soccer team of Ukraine also took part in the 2021 Euroleague Super Final.

In the group round, the blue and yellows took third place, and in the match for fifth place lost to the host of the competition - the national team of Portugal (1: 2). As a result, Roman Pachev's wards fished sixth.

September 14. UAF President, UEFA Executive Committee Member Andriy Pavelko, PFL President Oleksandr Kadenko, UPL Executive Director Yevhen Dyky and UAF Deputy Secretary General Andriy Bondarenko presented the Ukrainian football community at the UEFA Grow summit in Chisinau. The event was attended by representatives of national associations of Moldova, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and UEFA.

During the summit, Andriy Pavelko shared the successful experience of the program in Ukraine in three pilot oblasts and how UEFA Grow helps increase the involvement of various segments of the population in football. The President of the UAF praised the importance of cooperation between associations in the agenda of the session and the key positive role of UEFA in this process. Andriy Pavelko also spoke about new initiatives for the development of football in Ukraine, which aroused great interest among the participants of the meeting.

17 September. Acting head coach of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Petrakov made the list public players called up for training and participation in the matches of the national team of Ukraine in the selection of the 2022 World Cup against Finland (October 9, Helsinki) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (October 12, Lviv). The list includes 25 players, eight more - to the reserve list.

September 17-18. In Brovary a children's football tournament took place in memory of Fedor Shpyg. The Blue and Yellows lost to the Polish teams in the group stage (0:3), Spain (0:1) and defeated Israel (5:0). In the playoffs, the Ukrainians lost to Greece (0:1) and Georgia (0: 0, on penalties - 1: 3).

21 September. The national women's national team of Ukraine in preparation for the qualification for the 2023 World Cup in Kyiv at the STC. V. Bannikov held a control match against the Turkish team and won - 1: 0. The only goal was scored by Olga Boychenko.

The forum adopted a statement on the initiative to hold the World Cup every two years. The situation with the so-called "Super League" was also discussed. Andriy Pavelko thanked all European colleagues, and first of all UEFA President Alexander Cheferin, for a clear and united position on this issue, which condemns any actions aimed at splitting the European football community.

The position of the UAF president was supported by the legends of Ukrainian football Oleh Blokhin, Ihor Belanov, Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, Anatoliy Demyanenko and Oleh Protasov, who sent a corresponding letter in UEFA in the name of President Alexander Cheferin.

September 22. In Kiev at the NSC "Olympic" a duel took place for the Super Cup of Ukraine-2021, in which Shakhtar defeated Dynamo (3: 0) and overtook it in the number of titles (nine each).

September 21-23. Were played games of the fourth round (1/16 of the final) of the Vbet Cup of Ukraine-2021/2022. Eight UPL clubs, two representatives of the first league and one second league club made their way to the next stage. In the quarterfinals they were joined by five participants of the European Cups of the current season from Ukraine. 16 clubs together took part in the draw on September 24, which determined composition of pairs 1/8 finals.

As part of the ceremony as well the draw took place 1/8 finals of Ukrainian Cup among women's teams.

September 25-26. The Ukrainian national futsal team played two friendly away matches against Romania in preparation for Euro-2022. In the first ward of Alexander Kosenko conceded (1:2), and in another took revenge (4:0).

September 24-27. In preparation for the main round of selection of Euro-2022 (U-19), the youth national team of Ukraine in futsal held training camp in Brovary.

The team's coach Vitaliy Odegov called 13 wards to gather. The September stage of preparation ended with a control match against Kyiv's Sky Up, in which the blue and yellows won 4: 3.

September 28-29. In the sports complex of the Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun hosted the fourth football tournament for the Cup in memory of the Hero of Ukraine Andriy Kyzyl. The honorary guests of the event were the hero's relatives - wife Oksana and son Artem.

In the final match, the team of Kyiv Vocational College with enhanced military and physical training defeated the team of Kyiv Military Lyceum. Ivan Bohun with a score of 7: 4.

September 27-30. The girls' national team of Ukraine WU-17 started its performance in League B of Euro-2022 in Tallinn with two victories - over the teams of Northern Macedonia (3:0) and Moldova (7:0). On October 3, Serhiy Sapronov's wards, who have made a significant bid to enter League A, will face the final match of the group tournament - against Estonia.
