U-19: the youth national team of Ukraine from the first place made its way to the elite round of selection of Euro-2022

Even a draw with the Polish team in the last match of the qualifying round did not prevent Volodymyr Yezersky's wards from taking the first place in their group.

The youth national team of Ukraine approached the match of the third qualifying round of Euro-2022 in the status of the sole leader of its group, having six points.

In the duel with Poland, the wards of Volodymyr Yezersky, in order to take at least the second place, which gives the right to enter the next round of the competition, were satisfied with even a minimal defeat. However, as the mentor himself assured, no one even thought about it. The blue and yellows wanted to finish the stage with the maximum score.

However, the first half of the meeting with the hosts of the tournament was a cold shower for the Ukrainians. Despite the game advantage of the blue-yellows, the goals were scored by the Poles. Thus, in the 12th minute Buxa took a penalty after a foul by Ocheretko, and in 19 minutes the same Buxa doubled the advantage of the hosts. 2: 0.

By this time, the Finns have already beaten Malta in a parallel match (1: 0). And under such schedules, the national team of Ukraine dropped to third place. And yet under the very curtain of the first half, the blue-yellows managed to play one ball. On Yarmolyuk rules in a penalty area were broken, and the victim realized 11-meter. 2: 1.

And such an account did not quite suit the Poles. Therefore, in the second half, they went forward with great force. Volodymyr Yezersky's wards tried to respond with quick counterattacks.

As a result, the blue and yellow managed to equalize in the 83rd minute. Udod scored the goal. 2: 2. Thus, the national team of Ukraine took first place in the group and in the spring of 2022 will play in the elite round of selection for the right to get to the finals of the European Championship.
