In Lviv, representatives of the UAF and local authorities discussed the development of children's and youth football

A working meeting on the development of children's and youth football was held at the Lviv Regional State Administration.

It was attended by President of the Ukrainian Football Association, member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, First Vice President of UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko, Vice President of UAF, Head of Lviv Football Association Oleksandr Shevchenko, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytsky, Head of Physical Culture and Sports of Lviv Regional State Administration Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Humanitarian Policy Department of the Lviv City Council Anton Nikulin, representatives of the UAF, LAF and children's and youth football clubs of the Lviv region.

During the open dialogue, they discussed the strategy for the development of children's and youth football, which is the basis for adult football.

An important step in this direction is to involve as many children as possible in football. To this end, the Lviv Football Association, with the active support of local authorities, has launched a new large-scale tournament, the School League of Lviv Region, similar to the Leather Ball, which has already started in about 40 united territorial communities.

"It is gratifying that football in Lviv has a super-powerful unifying force of government, business and football officials who are ready to work together for the development of children's and youth football," said Andriy Pavelko. - After all, this important direction is the foundation of future victories of national teams and clubs in the international arena. I believe that the consolidation of the efforts of all those who love and live with this wonderful game will allow to multiply the glorious victorious traditions of football Lviv region! ”

Vice President of the Children's and Youth Football League of Ukraine Valery Zolotukhin acquainted the participants with the results of DUFLU reform, taking into account the leading European experience, including the creation of the Elite League, major and first leagues and the algorithm of compensation by professional football clubs for football training.

As a result of the meeting, proposals were made to local authorities on the development of children's and youth football, in particular on increasing the number of football fields in the Lviv region.
