"Open football lessons" in Shpola in Cherkasy region

The school festival "Open Football Lessons" took place at the local stadium in Shpola.

The organizers of this project were the Ukrainian Football Association, the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, the Cherkasy Regional Football Association and the Shpola community, and the participants of the fun football holiday were students of four secondary schools in Shpola.

Also thanks to the synergy with the project of the International Charitable Foundation Parimatch Foundation "Yes, I can!" a component of inclusive classes was introduced into the format of the football festival.

Before the festival, the participants were greeted by Oksana Khapatko, City Council Representative, Petro Yevych, Deputy Chairman of the Cherkasy Regional Football Association, Antonina Saprykina, Head of the Regional Branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Yevhen Stolitenko, National Coordinator of Social Projects. 

The festival began with a fun warm-up conducted by coach Oksana Prybluda.

In the future, the children went through 12 sports stations, during which they performed interesting exercises, participated in games, intellectual competitions, talked to psychologists and employees of the National Police.

Petro Yevych, Deputy Chairman of the CHOAF, noted: “How nice it is to look at the faces of children, with what passion they perform the exercises shown to them by the coaches, mastering the techniques! It is also important that among the participants are many girls and children from families of migrants from the ATO zone. Such events are very important in terms of promoting football and involving children in sports, and they should be held as often as possible. "

At the end of the festival, each participant, more than 100 of them, received a memorable gift in the form of a T-shirt with the project logo and good mood, and schools - sets of soccer balls and equipment needed for football.

The organizers thanked the local volunteers and their leader Vitaliy Honcharenko, representatives of Shpola OTG and the management of the football club "LNZ" for their assistance in holding the festival.

We remind you that for the second year in a row the format of the "Open Football Lessons" has been adapted to the norms of the anti-epidemic regime and social distancing.
