The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan considers the match with the team of Serbia to be fundamental and key.

Tomorrow, the youth national team of Ukraine will hold its next match in the selection of Euro-2023 (U-21) - against the team of Serbia. On the eve of this game, the head coach of the blue and yellows Ruslan Rotan spoke about the preparations for the match.

- Ruslan Petrovich, tomorrow in the youth national team of Ukraine the last of this year and in general one of the most responsible matches of the qualifying tournament Euro-2023 (U-21). In what condition does the team approach the match with the Serbs?

- In fact, the game with the Serbs will be fundamental and key for the Ukrainian national team. Serbia is a strong opponent in both team and individual actions. The players of this team work well with the ball. We watched a lot of their matches, so we learned the strengths and weaknesses.

As for our team, first of all we had to recover well psychologically after the match in Northern Macedonia. The game was given to us, we had to close the question of the winner in the first half, but when we missed, we came to our senses for about 15 minutes. Then they started to create moments again and were close to success, but, unfortunately, they did not win.

- The youth creates enough goal moments in each match, but they are not very happy with the goals. Problem with attackers?

- It's all about implementation, a lot of attention has been paid to this aspect these days. I hope that in tomorrow's match we will see what we have achieved.

- Has the Serbian national team changed significantly in terms of the game plan after the first face-to-face meeting in September?

- So. Now it is a slightly different team, their head coach has changed. The Serbs began to play more vertically due to long passes.

- You said that this is our main competitor in the fight for second place. Is France out of competition?

- I said that the main contenders to leave the group will be France, Ukraine and Serbia, as well as Northern Macedonia, which will drink everyone's blood.

- Is everyone in the team healthy?

- Unfortunately, there were no injuries. In the next match we will not be able to count on Oleksandr Nazarenko and Volodymyr Brazhko.

- Arena Lviv is a fart stadium for the main team of the country. The presence of fans will be allowed at the match tomorrow. How important is this for footballers?

- The support of spectators is always important, and in such confrontations - even more so. We will be happy if there are as many fans as possible. The youth national team of Ukraine will try not to fail.
