Euro-2023 (U-21). The youth national team of Ukraine ranks sixth in the ranking of second teams
As part of the qualification for the 2023 European Championship, the youth national team of Ukraine is currently in the playoffs according to the ranking of second places.
After six rounds of selection for Euro-2023 (U-21), Ruslan Rotan's wards occupy the second place in group N. Blue-yellow is three points behind the team of France.

It will be recalled that in the final part of Euro-2023 (U-21) there will be 16 teams - Romania and Georgia as hosts of the tournament and 14 more teams that will join them based on the results of selection (nine group winners, the best team among second place winners and four winners of the playoffs, which will play eight second place winners).
Playoffs: September 2022.
Final tournament: June / July 2023.
The matches of the tournament with the participation of 16 national teams will be hosted by four stadiums in Romania (two in Cluj-Napoca and two in Bucharest) and four in Georgia (in Batumi, Poti and two in Tbilisi). The opening match will take place in Romania, and the final - in Georgia.
At the moment, the youth national team of Ukraine is in the ranking of second place in sixth place, with 10 points (this includes only the results against the teams that took first, third, fourth and fifth place in their groups).
The ranking of the second places will be formed according to the criteria in the following sequence:
- more points scored;
- the best goal difference;
- more goals scored;
- more goals scored away from home;
- more victories;
- more victories away;
- lower amount of disciplinary points based on yellow and red cards received by players and team representatives (red card - three points, yellow card - one point, withdrawal for two yellow cards in one match - three points);
- starting rating of U-21 national teams.
