The All-Ukrainian seminar "Development of school football" took place in the Football House
An all-Ukrainian seminar "Development of school football" was held on January 24 in Kyiv.
The House of Football brought together UAF leaders, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, teachers-winners of the national competition for the best football lesson and the best innovative physical education lesson from different regions of Ukraine, physical education methodologists of regional and metropolitan institutes of postgraduate education football.

First Vice President of the UAF Anatoliy Demyanenko greeted the audience on behalf of the President of the UAF, UEFA Executive Committee Member Andriy Pavelko and stressed that the event aims to attract the widest possible attention of the main actors in the development of school football.
"The development of mass and, in particular, school football is one of the priorities of the Ukrainian Football Association.
Every year, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science, we donate 26 footballs for the development of school football in the regions, as well as equipment and equipment for football activities within the social projects Open Football Lessons, UEFA Playmakers, UEFA Grow and a football course for teachers. I would also like to note that school football festivals are aimed at helping children from socially disadvantaged families, displaced children and children of servicemen.

Our school football development program has positive results for the physical and emotional development of children and will bring a lot of benefits to schools that implement football lessons, "said Anatoliy Demyanenko at the beginning of the seminar.

The 10 finalists, selected by an all-Ukrainian jury from among the winners of regional competitions, will hold classes at Kyiv's Scandinavian Gymnasium (3 B Hmyri Street) to determine the winner of this year's final of the All-Ukrainian competition for the best football lesson and the best innovative physical education lesson. Anatoliy Demyanenko and Oleg Protasov determined the procedure for conducting classes by drawing lots for educators.

UAF experience in implementing school football projects
In the second part of the event, UAF specialists presented to the seminar participants and projects aimed at the development of school football in Ukraine - UEFA Grow, "Open Football Lessons", "Leather Ball", UEFA Playmaykers, girls' football, safety and protection of children in football , as well as in-service teacher training courses in the Football module.
UEFA Grow Project Manager Elizaveta Stepanyuk spoke about the implementation of the Strategic Football Development Project, which has increased the number of school-age players involved in football at the regional level and received a prestigious award in 2021 at the UEFA Grow Awards 2021 in three pilot regions of Ukraine. The coordinator of the Open Football Lessons UAF project Yevhen Stolitenko shared information on holding 173 sports events in the previous four seasons in all regions of Ukraine, which were attended by 29 children and 4,4 volunteers.
Ruslan Didenko, Deputy Head of the UAF Women's Football Department, noted the increase in the number of girls involved in football. In his speech, he mentioned sports projects in girls' football and stressed the special importance of the strategy for the development of women's football for 2020-2024, initiated by UAF President Andriy Pavelko. Its implementation has led to the fact that all professional men's clubs UPL and PFL today must cooperate or have in their structure women's teams, which led to an increase in the number of teams and the number of players.

Iryna Makarevych, UAF Social Responsibility Manager, spoke about the safety and protection of children in football. She acquainted the seminar participants with the concept and tools of UEFA, as well as with the activities of the National Association for the Protection of Children. In particular, it was about the UAF Policy on the Protection of Children in Football, approved in 2021.
Finally, the experience of conducting teacher training courses in the module "Football" shared the chairman of the Scientific and Methodological Committee of the Odessa Regional Football Association Sergei Galyuza.
