The UEFA Referees Committee has approved the list of referees and assistant referees who will work on the matches of Women's Euro 2022, which is to take place in England from 6 to 31 July.

Two Ukrainian referees have been included in the register: Kateryna Monzul is among the main officials, while Maryna Streletska is among the assistant referees.

List of main officials

The full list is available by link on the UEFA website.

It should be noted that under the terms of the cooperation agreement between UEFA and CONMEBOL, within the exchange program, as well as at the men's Euro 2020, the judges of the European Women's Championship also included a referee from South America.

Emicar Calderas Barrera from Venezuela will work with the Europeans in the matches of the tournament. A team of referees from the Old World will be determined a little later, who will go to Colombia in July to work at the Women's Championship of South America.

Each team of referees will consist of a chief referee, two assistants, a fourth referee and two video assistants (VARs) at the stadium.

For the first time, video assistants will work on all matches of the UEFA Women's Final Tournament.

UEFA Referees Committee head Roberto Rosetti: “We had to make a difficult choice who will go to the Women's Euro, because we had a wide selection of qualified and progressive referees.

We have evaluated the referees during the preparatory courses, as well as on their work in UEFA tournaments, and we know that the referees we have selected will do their best to make convincing and consistent decisions in the final tournament.

A number of referees still have to work on the matches of the decisive stage of the UEFA Champions League among women, while the entire refereeing team can focus on the tasks that will set them a summer championship in England.
