News from Ukraine camp: the arrival of Dynamo players and Dovbyk and the good news about Mudryk

On the fifth day of the training camp, the players of Dynamo Kyiv joined the national team, having played a friendly match with Basel the day before.

11 Dynamo players and Artem Dovbyk from Dnipro, who took part in Kyiv's charity matches, arrived just before lunch at the Elegance Hotel, where they warmly met with their teammates who have been working in Slovenia for four days. Guys were happy to see each other, especially in such a difficult time of war.

Having received the equipment of the national team (because almost everyone left the capital in a hurry, and therefore did not take the national team kit with them), the newly arrived players went to the training center in Brdo for the first time. After warming up and running, the team was divided into two groups: three Dynamo players who played 45 minutes each yesterday - Dents Garmash, Oleksandr Syrota and Denys Popov - joined the nine players working for the fifth day (Oleksiy Hutsulyak due to knee pain did not participate in today's session). The rest of Dynamo players, having performed recovery exercises, had the opportunity just to observe the training.

There was an interesting competition between two teams of six players. Physical training coach Vyacheslav Ruzhentsev suggested that the boys take turns performing six exercises on technique and accuracy, including hitting a narrow gap between chips, stopping the ball clearly in a small square, hitting the ball into the basket and crossbar. Only by clearly completing each task could they move on to the next. The winner was the team whose last player successfully completed two rounds of tasks faster than his opponents. Dynamo's Oleksandr Syrota was the member of the orange team who was ahead of his colleagues from the green six, bringing joyful emotions to all participants of the fan contest.

After that, 12 players also had the opportunity to play tennis-ball.

The good news is that Mykhailo Mudryk has started running. Examination revealed no serious damage to the afferent muscle, only slight bruise. Then Mykhailo will need a few more days under the supervision of the team's doctors to fully recover and return to training process.

Tomorrow, the blue-yellows will hold the first full-fledged training session with a full selection of footballers playing in Ukrainian clubs.

The evening training, which will start at 17.00 CET, will be open to the media. Half an hour earlier, journalists will be able to talk to head coach Oleksandr Petrakov and the team's player in a press conference format. Representatives of the mass media from Ukraine will be able to ask questions through a zoom conference, which can be accessed by accredited media in the UAF press service.
