Ukraine's FIFA team finished fourth at the Destination Denmark eCup

The national cyber football team of Ukraine in the FIFA discipline took fourth place in the friendly e-football tournament - Destination Denmark eCup.

These competitions became a stage of preparation of the Ukrainian cyber football players for participation in the main round qualifiers for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022, which will take place on May 19.

The Ukrainian team of Andriy CIG_ST92 Shakalov, Yaroslav ECF_BlackStar98 Gurmak and Oleksiy ForlanFS Mercer met in cyber football matches with the national teams of Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg and Finland. 

The national team of Ukraine played two games with each opponent in the "2 on 2" mode of the FIFA 22 simulator on the PlayStation 5 platform.

The Ukrainians started successfully, almost taking six points in the first confrontation - with the Czechs. In the opening game, the blue and yellows unfortunately gave two points to rivals, losing the handicap to two goals in the last seconds - 2: 2, but in the return match they still won - 2: 1.

The first defeat of Ukrainian cyber football players was in a match with the team of Finland, in which they, playing in the minority, lost 1: 2. The second meeting with Suomi ended without goals.

The real swings came out in the meeting of the national teams of Ukraine and Luxembourg. The first game was marked by the total advantage of the Ukrainians, who scored three goals, but almost squandered their advantage - 4: 2. The second match was already dominated by the Luxembourgers, and the Ukrainians finally did not have enough time to avoid defeat - 2: 3.

If in the matches with the Polish team the national team of Ukraine lost twice without chances - 0: 2 and 1: 3, in the final meetings with rivals from Lithuania our guys won with a dry score - 1: 0 and 3: 0.

In the match for third place between the national teams of Ukraine and Finland raged wildly, and the teams scored many goals for all tastes. However, following the results of the two-match confrontation, the Ukrainians still finished the tournament fourth - 3: 4 and 2: 3.
