We bring to your attention the operative information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 17.05.2022 on the Russian invasion of our country.

The eighty-third era of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian nation to the Russian military invasion began.

The enemy does not stop conducting offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone. The enemy focused its main efforts on the Donetsk direction.

Enemy aircraft destroyed civilian and military infrastructure in the Eastern Operational Zone and industrial facilities in the depths of Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissya directions The situation has not changed significantly, the threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the infrastructure facilities of Ukraine continues.

In the northern direction the enemy continues to carry out enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border. In the area of ​​the settlement of Bilokopytove, Sumy region, the enemy fired mortars at units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

In the Slobozhansky direction the enemy is focusing its efforts on deterring the offensive of the Defense Forces.

In the Kharkiv direction The main focus of the enemy is on holding positions and preventing the advance of our troops.

In the Slavic direction the enemy completes and replenishes losses, tries to resume the offensive.

In the Donetsk direction the enemy continues to fire mortars, artillery, rocket-propelled grenades and use aircraft.

In the Lyman direction the enemy carried out offensive operations in the area of ​​the settlement of Drobysheve. Strengthens troop groups.

In the Severodonetsk direction in the area of ​​the settlement of Sirotyne during the fighting the enemy suffered losses and retreated.

In the Bakhmut direction the enemy fought in the direction of the settlement of Vyskriva, had no success.

In the Avdiivka direction the occupiers carried out hostilities in the direction of the settlement of Kamyanka, also had no success.

In the Kurakhiv direction the enemy launched an offensive in the direction of the settlement of Ugledar, was unsuccessful.

In the Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye directions the enemy did not conduct active hostilities. He made a fire impression of the civil infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Kamyanske, Orikhiv, Novosilka and Huliaipole.

In the South Bug direction enemy units did not conduct active hostilities, fired at our units with artillery and mortars in the areas of the settlements of Lymany, Tavriyske, Trudolyubivka and Osokorivka.

In the Bessarabian direction as a result of a missile strike from Russian strategic aircraft in the Belgorod-Dniester district of Odessa region, objects of civil infrastructure were damaged, private buildings were destroyed.

In the Black Sea in the area of ​​Snake Island, lifting and rescue operations were noted at the site of the destruction of a Russian landing craft.

For the previous day, air defense units of the ground forces and air forces hit five air targets: a Su-25 aircraft, three UAVs of operational and tactical level and a cruise missile.

The strike aircraft of the air force in certain directions continued to fire at the enemy from the air and to support the fighting of the units of our troops.

Eleven enemy attacks were repulsed in Donetsk and Luhansk over the past XNUMX hours, five tanks, one Tor anti-aircraft missile system, six artillery systems, twelve units of armored combat vehicles and one enemy vehicle were destroyed.
