Andriy Pavelko met with the President and Secretary General of FIFA

President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Chairman of the UAF Coordination Center, member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko held a working meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary General Fatma Samura.

The UAF and FIFA leaders discussed cooperation in humanitarian projects of the International Football Federation in support of Ukraine, cooperation within the joint coordination center of FIFA, UEFA, UAF and national associations of other countries and joint projects to support the development of children's and youth football in Ukraine.

Andriy Pavelko thanked Gianni Infantino and Fatma Samura for their strong support of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers. The UAF President also thanked the FIFA leadership for the prompt decision to remove Russian teams from all competitions under the auspices of the organization.

"We have been in constant contact with the leadership of the International Football Federation since the first days of the full-scale war for the independence of our state. But personal communication and the opportunity to talk directly about the current state of affairs in Ukraine are much more effective. I am grateful to the President and the FIFA Secretary General for their willingness to help revive Ukrainian football at all levels, from the UPL and PFL to school competitions. This is an extremely important aspect both for Ukraine, because it also nourishes our faith in bringing peace, and for all world football, to which our country has already given many star names. We discussed many issues from the life of Ukrainian football during the war, which we previously discussed in Kyiv with the presidents of the UPL and PFL clubs, whose position he conveyed to the leaders of FIFA. It is gratifying that FIFA leaders shared my opinion that football will be an effective social tool that will help people, especially children affected by the war, return to a peaceful life and undergo the necessary social rehabilitation, "said UAF President Andriy after the meeting.
