"Open football lessons" visited Lviv region

"Open football lessons" developed by the Ukrainian Football Association have started in Lviv region. The implementation of this psychosocial project in the region began in Sosnivka.

This event gathered about one and a half hundred children aged eight to 14 at the Sosnov Stadium. Qualified instructors-instructors Andriy Smolsky, Volodymyr Gevko, Andriy Chulyk, Stepan Solchanyk, Roman Brandybura, Yuriy Oliynyk, Ivan Tomkiv, Lyudmyla Skrypynets, Oleh Kuzyk, Psychology Yuriy Havalko, trained in sports uniforms, worked with them in 12 squares of the football field. Komanko and police officers who interviewed children on the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

Teams of head coach Vasyl Havalko, coaches Vitaliy Zayats, Serhiy Vasko (formed on the basis of Krasnograd CYSS № 2, director - Oleksandr Voevoda), Mykola Stepovany and Volodymyr Sementukh (formed on the basis of Chervograd № 1, director - Vasil Ustenko).

In addition to local children, the Open Football Lessons were attended by children of IDPs from Kyiv, Bucha, Irpen, Boryspil, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chornobayivka, Alchevsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Odesa oblasts.

Everything took place under the close supervision of the regional coordinator of this project in the Lviv region, the executive director of the Lviv Football Association Stepan Ponaida.

At the end, each child received a participant's diploma and an exclusive T-shirt from the UAF, teams - balls for football, and displaced children - also medical, food kits and basic necessities. The most important thing is that the children felt safe, had a good time and had a good time together.

After all, the purpose of the "Open Football Lessons" is to help protect children who are forced to stay temporarily in the western regions of Ukraine, unaccompanied children, orphans and other vulnerable children affected by the war. Currently, the project is being implemented in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions.

The Lviv Football Association is grateful to Rochyn Football Club (Sosnivka), stadium employee Yuriy Dorosh for excellent field preparation, Chervonohrad Mayor Andriy Zalivsky, parents of children and all those who participated in this large-scale sports psychosocial event.

It is planned that at the end of June "Open Football Lessons" will visit Morshyn.
