League of Nations. The national team of Ukraine in Lodz confidently defeated the team of Armenia
In Lodz, Poland, Oleksandr Petrakov's wards won a convincing victory over the Armenian team.
Three days ago, the Blue and Yellows began their journey in the League of Nations with a victory over Ireland in Dublin (1:0). Now the national team of Ukraine played its first home match in Group 1 and due to the Russian invasion was forced to host Armenia in Lodz. Despite this, many Ukrainian and Polish fans gathered at the LKS stadium with blue and yellow flags.

Compared to the previous game, only Sidorchuk, Shaparenko and Mudryk remained in the starting lineup. 37-year-old Pyatov took the place in the goal, for whom it was the 102nd and last match for the main team of the country. We will note that Bushchan and Stepanenko who because of injuries already couldn't help our national team went home. Due to health problems, Sable and Orphan were not included in the application, and for the same reason Yarmolenko was unable to get to the "base".

From the beginning of the match, the Ukrainians took possession of the ball and played sharper, while the Armenians, as close as possible to their own penalty area, hoped for counterattacks and throws forward. In the 7th minute, after a great combination with the participation of Zinchenko and Mudryk, Yaremchuk could have scored, but scored from several meters to the goalkeeper. Subsequently, the guests responded with an inaccurate strike by Babayan.
In the middle of the first half, the blue and yellows scored long shots - Malinovsky scored over the crossbar, and Yurchenko coped with Tsygankov's attempt not without problems. Shortly before the break, Shaparenko scored near the stand. In other cases, our team lacked something to complete its attacks.

At the beginning of the second half Pyatov put his foot in time and prevented Hovhannisyan from making a dangerous shot. After that, Malinowski came to the fore, who needed several shots to shoot in the 61st minute to send the ball into the net. Karavaev connected well and gave a pass, Yaremchuk missed, and Ruslan finished with a great shot. 1: 0.
Subsequently, Zabarny almost made a gift to the Armenians, but Pyatov managed to knock the ball off the line after a failed ricochet from the defender. When the guests started to attack and press more often, the blue-and-yellows scored again for the second time. In the 77th minute Udo interrupted Karavaev's pass from the flank, but the ball was again in Alexander, who punched Yurchenko with a shot from the left. 2: 0.

Our guys did not stop there and brought the score to a landslide. In the 84th minute, after a throw from Zabarny from the depths, Monroe kicked the ball right into Mykolenko's leg, from which he flew into the net. Vitaly's debut goal for the national team, and - 3: 0.

Thus, Oleksandr Petrakov's wards managed to find the keys to the rich defense of the Armenians, scoring three goals, and Pyatov kept his goal in the castle in a landmark match. Then the next home match of the League of Nations against Ireland, which will take place in Lodz on June 14, awaits the blue and yellows.
