League of Conferences. Poltava's Vorskla will play both matches of the second qualifying round in Stockholm
The Swedish Football Union (SFU) has accepted the offer of Stockholm's AIK and Poltava's Vorskla for the matches of the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League.
The draw for the 15nd qualifying round of the League of Conferences took place on June 2 in Nyon, Switzerland. By the will of the draw, the rival of Poltava's Vorskla at this stage of the competition was the Stockholm AIK.
After that, the Ukrainian and Swedish clubs made a joint appeal to the Swedish Football Union with a request to hold both matches, on July 21 and 27, in Stockholm - at the stadiums "Stockholm Arena" and "Friends Arena", respectively.
Considering the issue and taking into account that the request is a consequence of the war in Ukraine, as well as the possibility of divorcing AIK - Vorskla matches with matches of other Swedish clubs, SFS in a letter to UAF agreed to the proposal.
UEFA has yet to approve the decision that both matches of the 2nd qualifying round of the League of Conferences between AIK and Vorskla will take place in Stockholm.
