Futsal Champions League. Kherson "Prodexim" starts from the main round of the tournament

The draw for the preliminary and main rounds of the UEFA Futsal Champions League for the 2022/2023 season will kick-off July 7 (starts at 15.30:XNUMX p.m. Kyiv time).

In the 2022/2023 season, the UEFA Futsal Champions League will be held on a familiar basis. Preliminary, main and elite rounds will be held in the format of mini-tournaments. As before, four clubs will play in the final stage. The venue of the final stage will be determined when its participants become known.

The four best national associations by rating (Spain, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Croatia) will nominate two participants each, the others will delegate one club each. Ukraine should be represented by Prodexim (Kherson).

The reigning tournament winners, Barcelona, ​​plus the teams ranked 1st-11th and 16th-19th, will start the tournament in the main round and follow Path A. All others will start from the preliminary round or Path B of the main round .

"Prodexim" will start the fight from Path A of the main round, as it occupies the sixth place in the club rating. During the draw, the representative of Ukraine will be in basket 13 (seeding position — 2).

Format

Preliminary round (August 23-28)

The 32 teams with the lowest rating will participate in this round, which will be divided into groups of four participants each. Seeding will depend on the rating. Pre-selected mini-tournament hosts will be placed in a separate basket. The winners of the groups will advance to the main round.

Main round (October 25-30)

Path A 

The reigning champion, Barcelona, ​​11 top ranking clubs and teams from 16th to 19th will follow this path. During the draw, the teams will be divided into groups of four each. The four clubs will be pre-designated by the hosts and placed in a separate basket with seeding numbers retained. Teams from the same country can enter the same group. Possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. The top three teams from each group will advance to the elite round.

Path B

Teams ranked 12-15 and 20-23, as well as the winners of the previous round, will go this way. During the draw, the teams will be divided into groups of four each. The four clubs will be pre-designated by the hosts and placed in a separate basket with seeding numbers retained. Possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. The winners of the four groups will advance to the elite round.

Elite round (November 22-27) 

16 clubs will be divided into four groups of four each. The draw will take place on November 8. Sowing will be approved before the draw. The winners of the four groups will advance to the final stage.

The final tournament 

This is a knockout tournament with four teams. It will take place at one venue in April or May 2023. The venue and exact dates, as well as the date of the draw will be known later.
