The XXX Conference of the PFL adopted a number of important decisions

Regular, anniversary, XXX Conference of the PFL was held today in the capital of Ukraine. An agenda of 12 issues was proposed for the delegates' consideration, reports informs PFL press service. The meeting was attended by the president of the Ukrainian Football Association, member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko and the first vice-president of the UAF Oleh Protasov.

Those present heard the report on the work of the PFL in the 2021/2022 season from the president of the PFL Oleksandr Kadenko, the report of the auditing company on the financial and economic activity for 2021, recognizing the work of the PFL as satisfactory. As a reminder, due to Russian aggression, it was not possible to complete the 2021/2022 season in all leagues of the Ukrainian Football Championship, however, intermediate results were approved and teams were exchanged between the leagues, which made it possible to approve representation in the European Cups and plan a new season.

In order to support the clubs that found themselves in a difficult situation due to the war, the delegates considered the mechanism of saving a place in the PFL, which was tested eight years ago. The idea of ​​a temporary suspension for the 2022/2023 season of participation in the PFL competitions of some clubs that lost the opportunity to fully function due to military aggression by the Russian Federation was supported. More than 20 FC will use the option. The practice of 2014 showed that for many such a forced pause became an opportunity to restart the club after the liberation of the territories by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Traditionally, those present gladly welcomed the newcomers to the competition under the auspices of the PFL. This year, four clubs joined the competition in the second league: FC "Vast" (Mykolaiv), FC "Niva" (Buzova), PFC "Zvyagel" (Novograd-Volynskyi) and "Hust City" (Hust). Three clubs of the first league took advantage of the opportunity to declare their reserve teams (the so-called "twos") - in this way, "Metalurg-2" (Zaporizhia), "Kremin-2" (Kremenchuk) and "Polyssia-2" ( Zhytomyr). 

As a result of successive discussions and consultations with all clubs of the first and second leagues, the composition of the participants and the format of the championships of Ukraine among club teams of the first and second leagues of the 2022/2023 season were approved, and the Regulations and plan-calendar of the All-Ukrainian football competitions among club teams were approved. Professional football league season-2022/2023.

"For both the UAF and the PFL management, as well as for the Premier League management, the main issue of preparation for the start of the competition is the safety of all their participants.

We have received a security protocol for the championship, which will be the first in history to be held in full-scale war conditions, approved by the military, law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Youth Sports and local authorities. For its part, UAF is ready to support clubs in UPL, PFL, women's teams and U-19 matches during this difficult time and to take over the financing of arbitration, as well as the use of VAR technology in UPL matches.

The football community contributes to the common victory of all Ukraine every day. And very soon these efforts will be joined by the restoration of football life in the country, which will inspire both the soldiers and all the fans of our country.
