Euro-2022 in futsal (U-19) started today in Jaen, Spain. The youth national team of Ukraine started its performance in the final tournament with a match against Croatia.
It will be recalled that the youth futsal team of Ukraine won a ticket to Euro-2022 (U-19), overcoming the resistance of Andorra in Choresk, Moldova, in Group 6 of the main selection round (10:2), Belgium (11:0) and Moldova (5:0). In the final part of the competition, Vitaliy Odegova's wards will play in Group A together with Croatia, Romania and Spain. The tickets to the semi-finals will be awarded to the two best teams of the quartet.
It is interesting that it was Croatia, winning 3:1, that prevented our youth national team from leaving the group for Euro-2019 (U-19). It was certainly an additional motivation for the blue and yellow today.

It was the national team of Ukraine that opened the score in the opening match of the tournament — Dychuk scored in the 32nd second. However, later in the first half, only the Croatians scored - Josypovic, Pest-Mundval, Susac and Čičić helped their team go to the break with a three-goal lead. 1:4. Although we should note that our team did not lack moments - the same Dychuk, Kvasnii, Britan could score.

In the second half, the Ukrainians mobilized, added momentum, which was reflected in goals by Malinovskyi and Kvasnia within 10 seconds and goals by Semenchenko, Smetanenko and again Kvasnia, who scored a double. Incredible comeback! As a result, it was 5:0 for the half and 6:4 in total.
Tomorrow, our national team will play its second match against the Romanians.
