The Ukrainian women's beach soccer team won the silver medal at the World Beach Games qualification

In the final match of selection for the 2023 World Beach Games, the women's beach soccer team of Ukraine lost to England in a tense struggle.

Today, the wards of Yuriy Klymenko, who have already secured a ticket to the 2023 World Beach Games, which will be held from August 6 to 12 on the Indonesian island of Bali, met England in the final duel for the gold of European qualification.

The first period of the meeting turned out to be very nervous and, despite numerous opportunities for both teams, ended in a scoreless draw. At the beginning of the second 12-minute period, the English added momentum, and in the middle of the period, our defense could not hold out. Gemma Hiller and Molly Clarke managed to score in Anastasia Terech's goal within two minutes.

The final part of the game began with a goal by Sarah Kempson and the withdrawal of Yulia Kostiuk, which minimized the chances of our girls to play back. Unfortunately, they did not succeed. As a result, the defeat was 0:3.

Thus, the women's national team of Ukraine took second place in the European qualification for the 2023 World Beach Games. The first was England, the third was Spain, which defeated Italy in the small final (5:3).
