"I haven't played for a long time, I haven't seen the national team for about six months. Thanks to the coaches and girls for their trust. The Faroes are a good team. Somewhere we lacked courage, realization, coolness. There is a lot to work on - Spain is ahead. We always have one plan - to win," said Daryna Bondarchuk, the goalkeeper of the Ukrainian national team, after the match with the Faroe Islands.
"It was not easy to move to the artificial field, it was difficult in the first 15 minutes. I am happy that I scored two goals, which became decisive. I think that the Ukrainian national team will prepare and come out with a fighting spirit to play against the Spanish women," said Nadiya Kunina, the forward of our team.
"It's always nice to win, no matter who the opponent is. The Faroes played defensive football, seven or eight players in defense, it was difficult to pass them. Of course, we could have scored more. Our young players must adapt to the team, adapt to our game. Everything comes with experience," said Lyubov Shmatko, defender of the blue and yellow team.
