WC-2023. The women's national team of Ukraine lost in Spain and finished the qualifying tournament in third place in group B

In the last match of the qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Cup, the women's national team of Ukraine lost to the Spanish team.

The wards of Luis Cortes lost all chances to get to the World Cup back in June, and the task of the head coach to take the third place in the group was fulfilled in the last round. So today's match in Madrid against the Spanish national team, which has already secured the first place in our top five with the maximum result, had no tournament significance.

However, the housewives decided not to relax and support the leader's brand. Already in the first half, the Ukrainian women scored four goals. Esther González and Alba Redondo scored doubles.

In the second half of the meeting, the coach of the Spanish national team resorted to a number of substitutions, and our opponents lost their momentum somewhat. Be that as it may, they upset Kateryna Samson only once. Jennifer Hermoso scored from the 11-meter mark. 0:5 — the defeat of the Ukrainian national team.

It should be noted that the Spanish national team won all matches during the selection without conceding a single goal.
