Futsal Euro-2022 (U-19) is underway in Jaen, Spain. The youth national team of Ukraine continued its performance in the final tournament with a match against the host of the competition — the Spanish team.
In the previous matches, Vitaliy Odegov's wards won against Croatia (6:4) and Romania (5:2), thus guaranteeing a place in the semi-finals. Now, in the meeting with Spain, the blue and yellow decided the fate of the first step in group A. It is interesting that these teams have already met at Euro-2019 (U-19), and then the Pyrenees won with a score of 7:1.

The Spaniards and Ukrainians spent the first half almost evenly matched, although at the end of the half, Guivan often had to enter the game. Dychuk and Rivera scored hits in the frame of the goal.
At the beginning of the second half, Carrasco put the hosts ahead after a solo pass. In the 31st minute, Smetanenko completed the counterattack and equalized the score, but soon Moreno returned the advantage to the Spaniards with an accurate shot from a distance. At the end of the meeting, Dychuk restored parity, but the blue-yellow team did not have enough time to win.

A draw — 2:2 means that according to additional indicators, Spain occupies the first place in the quartet. Ukraine will meet the winner of Group B, Portugal, in the semi-finals. The match will take place on September 8.
