U‑17: the youth national team of Ukraine defeated "Kolos" U-19 in a friendly match

Today at NTK named after V. Bannikov's youth national team of Ukraine U‑17 held the second friendly match of the current season.

The match with the youth team of "Kolos" from Kovaliv completed the first educational and training session of the blue-yellow team, which began on September 17 and continued until today. It was devoted to the preparation for matches of the qualification round of Euro-2023 selection (U-17).

Unlike the previous match, with "Alexandria" (0:5), the coach of the national team Yuriy Moroz released a completely different starting line-up. And in the 7th minute, the blue-yellow team took the lead. Maksym Koval received a pass from the wing in the center of the penalty area and scored a great goal - 1:0. However, in four minutes, "Colossus" managed to win back, and at the break the teams went to a draw - 1:1.

In the 49th minute, an unpleasant episode happened - Mykhailo Kozhushko made a rough tackle and saw a red card in front of him. And five minutes later, Kyrylo Osypenko scored a handsome goal, who hit from the penalty line right into the nine.

At the 77th minute, the match was interrupted due to an air alarm. The game was resumed in less than half an hour. And immediately, the blue-yellow team received the right to a penalty kick due to the opponent's handball in their own penalty area. However, the goalkeeper of Kovalivtsi managed to deal with a not too strong shot by Vladyslav Kalin. Despite this, Kalin soon managed to rehabilitate himself, successfully playing in the finish — 3:1. This score remained on the scoreboard until the final whistle — the victory of the Ukrainian U-17 national team.

In the 79th minute, Kalyn (U) missed a penalty (goalkeeper).

Youth team of Ukraine have been drawn to group 2, where they will meet with the teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein. The mini-tournament will be held from October 24 to 30, 2022 in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Mladost Stadium in Kakan and at the training center of the local football federation in Zenica.
