Euro-2023 in women's futsal. The national team of Ukraine started in the main round with a victory over the Netherlands

Today, October 19, the women's futsal team of Ukraine started its way into the Euro 2023 main qualifying round, where its opponents in Group 2 are Poland, Croatia and the winner of Group A from the previous round, which was the Netherlands. Our team played the opening match with them. Note that Ukraine was previously supposed to be the host of the mini-tournament, however, due to Russian aggression by UEFA suffered matches of the quartet to Poland.

On the eve of the matches of the main round, Oleg Shaitanov's wards held a training camp in the Polish city of Mendzisdroje, which began on October 12. After that, our team went to Poznań, where today they met with the Dutch women.

The Ukrainian women quickly gained an advantage thanks to Tytova's double. First, Yuliya Forsyuk moved from the left wing to the center after the pass and beat the goalkeeper, and then completed the counterattack that she had started.

For a long time, our team held the advantage, and in the 25th minute, the third goal was scored by Forsyuk, who intercepted the ball in her own half and made a solo pass with the finish. Later, Titova was assisted by Ruban, who dealt with the goalkeeper on the "spot". Next, Kislova took advantage of her opponents' mistake for five-field games and directed the ball into the empty net. Only at the end of the meeting did the Dutch women manage to wet the score by scoring two goals.

As a result, the blue-yellow team won a convincing victory - 5:2. Oleh Shaitanov's wards will play their next match of the main round against Croatia tomorrow (starting at 17.00:XNUMX Kyiv time).
