Euro-2023 in women's futsal. The national team of Ukraine defeated Croatia in the main round of selection
The women's futsal team of Ukraine continues its journey in the main round of Euro-2023 selection.
In the first game of group 2, the matches of which are hosted by Poznań of Poland, the blue and yellow defeated the Netherlands (5:2). Now Oleg Shaitanov's wards met with Croatian women.
At the beginning of the match, both teams hit past the goal, in the 13th minute, Kislova drew a dangerous shot from Rohar after a corner, and soon Titova hit the target from a free kick. In the 16th minute, the Croatians took the lead thanks to a cool shot by Stipančević from the half-volley. However, the Ukrainians soon recovered — Ruban was brought to a striking position near the goal. Shortly before the break, the opponents earned a sixth foul, but Volovenko did not realize the double penalty.
However, in the second half of the meeting, the blue-yellow team did not leave any chances to the Balkans. First, Tytova converted a penalty, in the 31st minute, the Ukrainians made a great kick-out, and Dubytska completed the combination. Titova scored a double right away, and Forsyuk scored our team's fifth goal.
In the end, the Ukrainian women won with a score of 5:1. Oleg Shaitanov's men will play their next main round match against Poland on October 22 (starting at 20.00 Kyiv time).

The final part of the Euro-2023 women's futsal tournament with the participation of four national teams is scheduled for March 2023. The selection cycle, as before, will consist of two stages. The preliminary round was held on May 10-14, and the main round with the participation of the 16 strongest teams continues. The four group winners will advance to the finals.
