Futsal Champions League. Uragan lost to Benfica in the second match of the main round

Ivano-Frankivsk "Uragan" lost in the second match of group 4 of the main round of the Futsal Champions League of the 2022/2023 season.

In the opening match of the mini-tournament in Galata, Maksym Pavlenko's wards outplayed hosts, Romanians from "United Galatsi", with a score of 5:0. 

In the second match, the Ivano-Frankivsk team faced a more formidable opponent - the Lisbon "Benfica". The Portuguese took the lead in the middle of the first half. Within one minute, Gonzalo Sobral and Silvestre Ferreira scored in our goal. At the end of the 20th minute, Nazar Shved managed to reduce the deficit to 1:2.  

At the beginning of the second half of the game, the Ukrainians were left without Artem Farenyuk, who saw a red card in front of him. "Hurricane" did not manage to equalize the score, but the opponent upset our goalkeeper twice more - in the 34th minute, Afonso Jezus scored, and in the 38th minute, Bruno Sintra scored. So, 4:1 — the victory of "Benfica".

Uragan will play the third match of the main round on October 29 against Hungarian Haladas.

The reigning champion, Barcelona, ​​11 top ranking clubs and teams from 16th to 19th will follow this path. The teams are divided into four groups of four participants each. The top three teams from each group will advance to the elite round.

Path B

Teams ranked 12-15 and 20-23, as well as the winners of the previous round, will go this way. The teams are divided into four groups of four participants each. The winners of the groups will advance to the elite round.

Elite round (November 22-27)

16 clubs will be divided into four groups of four participants each. The draw will take place on November 8. Seeding will be confirmed before the draw. The winners of the four groups will advance to the final stage.

The final tournament 

This is a knockout tournament with four teams. It will take place at one venue in April or May 2023. The venue and exact dates, as well as the date of the draw will be known later.
