The women's beach soccer team of Ukraine took fourth place at the tournament in Saudi Arabia
Today in Saudi Arabia Ukrainian women's beach soccer team played a match for third place in the prestigious tournament Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022.
At the group stage, our team lost to Brazil (0:2) and England (2:4) and defeated the Netherlands (6:0). Thus, the Ukrainian women became the third in the group and today in the match for the third place, which the organizers of the competition decided to hold, they again met with the team of the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, the consolation final was not as easy for our national team as the group match. Already after the first period, the blue-yellow team was behind - 0:2, and at the beginning of the second 12-minute period, they missed the third ball as well.
Our girls tried to save the situation and twice with the efforts of Vypasnyak and Kalyagina they upset their opponents, but in the end they lost - 2:3. A short bench was indicated against the background of the tight schedule of the tournament (four matches in four days).
Thus, the Ukrainian national team took fourth place at the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
