Ruslan Rotan: These two matches in Georgia gave us a lot of information

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine U-XNUMX, Ruslan Rotan, summed up the results of the friendly matches in Georgia.

The Ukraine U-XNUMX team completed its November training camp, during which it held friendly games with Israel (1:1) and Georgia (1:1). The head coach of the blue and yellow team, Ruslan Rotan, summed up the results of these matches, and also shared further plans for preparation for the final part of Euro-2023 (U-21).

"I believe that match with Georgians turned out to be quite informative and useful. We played against a good team that is also preparing for the European Championship.

In general, these two matches gave us a lot of information both about the nearest reserve and about the guys who will prepare for the Euros. We also reviewed the players who will be preparing for the next selection cycle. This training camp became a kind of seed from which a new team is born and another continues.

Today we have 14 debutants. It's very nice. I am glad that there are many boys who play abroad. As for their trip to the Euros, the door is open to everyone. The spring training camp is ahead of us, and the tournament starts in the summer. All the boys have time to show themselves, they have a chance to get to the European Championship.

On March 27, there is a preliminary agreement regarding an away friendly match with Italy. Regarding the second match, negotiations are underway, somewhere around the New Year we will decide on the opponent," said Ruslan Rotan.

Let's add that according to the results of the Euro-2023 (U-21) draw, which had happened On October 18, Ukraine got into group B, where they face Romania, Spain and Croatia. Our team will begin its journey with a match against Croatia, which takes place on June 21 next year in Bucharest, Romania.
