2022: results of the year for the women's beach soccer team of Ukraine

In 2022, the women's beach soccer team of Ukraine played in several prestigious European tournaments.

On July 1, the Ukrainian women started in Euroleague-2022, the first stage of which was held in the Portuguese town of Nazare. In the opening match, the women's national team of Ukraine lost to England (3:4), and in the second - Spain (1:3). Instead, in the third meeting, Yuriy Klymenko's wards somewhat made up for lost time, defeating the Czech Republic (4:0).

After that, a historic event awaited the Ukrainian national team - participation in the first ever women's Mundialito. The tournament was held from July 21 to 23 in the Canary Islands.

In the opening match of the new tournament, the Ukrainian women, who, unfortunately, performed at these competitions with an incomplete team, lost to England (1:6), and then Spain (1:5). However, in the end, the blue-yellow team once again dealt with the Czech Republic (9:5) and took third place at Mundialito-2022.

From August 31 to September 4, the women's national team of Ukraine took part in the European selection for the 2023 World Beach Games, which was held in Catania, Italy. 

In the first duel at the competition, our girls could not resist against Switzerland (3:5), and the next day they won over the No. 1 team in the world ranking — Spain (2:1). And, finally, in the third match, Yuriy Klymenko's wards beat Sweden (5:2) and won a ticket to the World Beach Games, which will take place from August 6 to 12, 2023 in Bali, Indonesia. After that, in the semi-final match of the qualifying tournament, the national team of Ukraine defeated Italy (4:3 OT), but lost to England in the final (0:3).

In the future, Ukrainian women continued their performances in the Euroleague. The second stage of the tournament was held in Sardinia, and our girls started it with a defeat against Italy (1:7), but then got together and defeated Portugal (3:2). This allowed the blue and yellow to reach the semi-finals of Euroleague 2022 and guarantee a ticket to the 2023 European Games in Krakow. In the semifinals, the Ukrainian women lost to the Italians (1:3), and in the match for third place — Portugal (0:3).

The women's national team of Ukraine finished the season with four matches in Saudi Arabia, where it participated in the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 9 representative tournament from November 12 to 2022.

The blue-yellow started with two defeats — against Brazil (0:2) and England (2:4), but ended the group round with a victory over the Netherlands (6:0). In the match for third place, our girls, unfortunately, lost to the same Netherlands (2:3).

Thus, this year the women's national team of Ukraine played 19 official international matches. In them, the Ukrainian women won seven times and lost 12 times (the goal difference is 48-61). Myroslava Vypasniak became the best scorer of the season for the blue and yellow team, who scored 10 goals.
