General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: operational information on the Russian invasion (as of 06.00 09.12.2022)

We bring to your attention the operative information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00:09.12.2022 on March XNUMX, XNUMX regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and eighty-ninth day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of Belogorivka in the Luhansk region and Klishchiivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk region.

Over the past 54 hours, the enemy has launched five missile and three air strikes, as well as XNUMX attacks from rocket salvo systems.

The threat of missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine remains.

In the northern direction the enemy shelled the settlements of Khodine, Sosnivka, Kindrativka, and Zapsillia of the Sumy region with mortars.

In the Slobozhansky direction areas of settlements of Strelech, Ternov, Staritsa, Ohirtseve and Kupyansk of Kharkiv region were hit by fire from mortars and barrel artillery.

On the Kupyansk direction the enemy defends. Shelling from tanks and various types of artillery was recorded in the areas of Sinkivka, Pishchane and Pershotravneve settlements in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction the enemy carried out artillery shelling in the districts of Grekivka, Makiivka, Ploshanka, Nevsky and Chervonopivka in the Luhansk region and Torsky and Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions the enemy does not stop trying offensive actions. Areas of 25 settlements were shelled by tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. Including — Berdychi, Andriyivka, Verkhnokamianske, Berestov, Bilogorivka, Vesele, Soledar, Bakhmut, Opytne, Avdiyivka, Pervomaiske, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlovsk direction the enemy is on the defensive. Vugledar, Prechistivka, Zolota Niva and Velika Novosilka in Donetsk region were shelled.

In the Zaporozhye direction the enemy fired tanks and artillery at the areas of 14 settlements. In particular — Vremivka, Veliky Novosilka and Novopoly in the Donetsk region and Dorozhnyanka, Gulyaipol, Novodanilivka and Stepovoye in the Zaporizhia region.

On the Kherson direction the enemy conducts defensive actions. Tank and artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Beryslav, Kozatske, Antonivka, Komysany, Dniprovske and Veletenske settlements of the Kherson region and the outskirts of the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. On December 7 of this year, as a result of fire damage to areas where the occupiers were concentrated in the districts of the cities of Berdyansk, Tokmak, Melitopol, Energodar, Dniprorudne, Pology and Vasylivka of Zaporizhzhya region, the enemy lost about 240 people wounded. Three ammunition warehouses and about 20 units of military equipment of various types were destroyed. The hospital, developed on the basis of the Tokmak anti-tuberculosis dispensary, is completely filled with wounded servicemen of the Russian occupation forces. 

Units of missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit eight control points, 11 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and two ammunition depots of the invaders.
