Euro-2023 (U-19). The youth national team of Ukraine ended its performance in the elite round of selection with a defeat against Spain

Today, March 28, the youth national team of Ukraine U-19 (football players not older than 2004) completed their performance in the elite round of Euro-2023 qualification with a match against Spain.

In the previous matches of the group, Serhiy Nagornyak's wards lost to Luxembourg (1:2) and Denmark (1:2), so they lost their chances to get to the European Championship. Our team played the final match of the quartet against the Spanish hosts in the city of Badajoz.

Unfortunately, as of the 7th minute, the Pyrenees led by two goals - Palacios and Alarcon scored. The Ukrainians responded with Pushkarev's shot in the crossbar, but later Rodrigues increased the home team's advantage. Later, Pushkarev distinguished himself again with a missed attempt as part of our team.

In the second half, all the shots of the Ukrainians either missed the goal or were parried by Fernandes. Instead, the Spaniards scored a fourth goal. In the compensated time, the Ukrainians could spoil the score, but Slyubik hit the post. So the blue-yellow team ended their performance in the elite round with a defeat - 0:4.
