WU-19: in the second match of the second round of Euro-2023 selection, the youth women's national team of Ukraine lost to Denmark

Today, April 8, the youth women's national team of Ukraine WU-19 continued its performance in the second round of Euro-2023 selection with a match against Denmark.

Valery Palamarchuk's wards started their performance in group A5, the matches of which are hosted by Denmark, with a defeat against the Swedish team (0:5). Now the blue-yellows met with housewives in the city of Kege.

Unfortunately, our girls conceded in the 9th minute, and they did it three more times before the break. In the second half, the Danes increased their advantage by scoring the fifth goal. At the end of the meeting, the blue-and-yellow team did wet the score — Serbuk took advantage of Dub's transfer. Interestingly, both of them were substituted two minutes earlier. So, in the end, we have a defeat - 1:5, and, unfortunately, the national team of Ukraine lost registration in League A. 

Now Valery Palamarchuk's team is waiting for the final game, against Iceland, which will take place on April 11 (starting at 15.30:XNUMX p.m. Kyiv time).

In League A, 28 teams play in seven groups, including seven national teams that were promoted from League B following the results of the first round. The seven League A group winners from the second round (and the best second-place finisher if Belgium finishes first in the group) will qualify for the final stage, which will take place from July 18 to 30 in Belgium. The fourth-place teams in the groups will start the 2023/2024 season in League B.

Teams in League B, including those relegated from League A after the autumn stage, in seven groups (three with four participants, four with three) will fight for tickets to League A in the first round of the next draw.

We will remind, the youth women's national team of Ukraine took it third place in its group of the first round and kept its registration in League A.
