Victory in an away friendly match with Estonia (1:0) commented the defender of the women's national team of Ukraine Tetyana Romanenko.

"Victory is always a joy for us. First, our fans were present in the stands. Secondly, the preparation for the League of Nations continues, and the victory gives us confidence in our own strength.

I think we were a bit unlucky. Also, we were a little short of meetings because this is the first meeting in seven months. This, of course, is indicated. But we are working on it, let's hope that we will have more opportunities to get together. We will try to improve our game.

It seemed to me that Estonian women are very well prepared physically. Rivals played a little better, if compared with previous face-to-face matches. This team has a future," said Tetyana Romanenko.

We will remind you that the draw for the first ever women's League of Nations will take place on May 2. The composition of the leagues and seedings before the draw will determine the current ranking of the UEFA women's national teams. Currently, Ukraine is in the 22nd place in the register, which implies entry into League B.

In 2023, there are six game windows for Nations League participants: September 20-22 and 23-26, October 25-27 and 28-31, November 29-December 1, and December 2-5.
