The women's national team of Ukraine WU-17 concluded its performance at the UEFA Development Tournament in Romania with a match against the hosts.

In March, Serhiy Sapronov's wards won the right to be promoted in the class. In group B6 of the second round of Euro 2023 selection (WU-17), Ukrainian women thanks to victories over Bulgaria - 2:1 and Latvia - 5:0 secured the first step and return to the top division.

The almost completely renewed composition of the women's national team of Ukraine WU-17 (players born in 2007-2008), which will play in the autumn in League A of the first round of Euro-2024 selection, went to gain experience at the UEFA Development Tournament in Romania.

In the opening match, the blue and yellow defeated Azerbaijan (4:0), after which the results of the penalty shootout lost Greece In their last match in the National Football Center of the city of Buftia, 20 km from the capital of Romania, Bucharest, the Ukrainian women met with the hosts.

In the first half, the blue-yellow team scored three goals thanks to the efforts of Maria Ignatenko, Victoria Savkina and Alina Savka. In the second half of the match, the opponents conceded two goals, but Serhiy Sapronov's wards still managed to win - 3:2. Having scored seven points, the women's national team of Ukraine WU-17 took second place at the competition.
