"Open football lessons" visited Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region

Wonderful psychosocial football events for the communication of children of IDPs, military children of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and children affected by the war were organized by the Ukrainian Football Association, the Kyiv Union of Football Associations and the community of Bila Tserkva.

Local schools received a large amount of sports equipment and balls for football events, volunteers were equipped, and each participating child received a project t-shirt and a participant's diploma as a gift.

The football festival at the Belotserkiv Stadium "Zmina" was opened by Yevhenii Stolitenko, the project coordinator from the UAF, Fedir Lata, the representative of the Department of Education and Science of the Belotserkiv City Council, and Volodymyr Maslov, the regional project coordinator from the KOAF.

It should be noted the good work of the local project volunteers and their leader — Vitaly Merkusheva — during the football lessons. Children from the following local institutions took part in the events:

— Hetman Lyceum-gymnasium (volunteer — Oksana Dudareva);

— Gymnasium No. 4 (Serhiy Pokaz);

— Gymnasium No. 7 (Volodymyr Mykhaylenko);

— Gymnasium No. 11 (Alexander Fomin);

— Lyceum No. 12 (Natalia Yevpak);

— Natural and Mathematical Lyceum — Gymnasium No. 16 named after M. Kyrylenka (Serhiy Dugin);

— Lyceum-gymnasium No. 17 (Leonid Gevs);

— academic lyceum "Vektor" — gymnasium No. 18 (Olga Kaptanovska);

— supporting lyceum — gymnasium No. 20 (Denys Shipulin);

— gymnasium No. 21 (Ludmyla Chutkivska);

— Gymnasium No. 22 (Valery Zaderzhynskyi);

— lyceum (Bilotserkiv collegium) (Yuriy Farenyk).

We also thank the local police for their active participation.

All project activities are carried out in the regions in agreement with the regional military administrations.

The Ukrainian Football Association, with the support of Common Goal and the Association of Cross-Cultural Projects (Denmark), continues the "Open Football Lessons" project, which includes:

— psychosocial support for children of IDPs, children of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children affected by war;

— unification and friendship of IDP children with local children, social integration;

— an inclusive environment, participants regardless of ability level, gender, as well as the participation of children with special educational needs;

— knowledge of security in conditions of war;

— the philosophy of mass football — the joy of the game instead of the result at any cost;

— education of a healthy lifestyle;

— development of volunteering;

— activation of local communities through cross-sectoral networks (teachers, trainers, psychologists, security specialists, parents, youth leaders, local authorities, patrons, etc.).
