Futsal Champions League-2023/2024: format and calendar of competitions
The Union of European Football Associations announced the format of the Futsal Champions League and determined the dates of the stages of the tournament.
In the 2023/2024 season, the UEFA Futsal Champions League to be held according to the familiar principle. The preliminary, main and elite rounds will be held in the format of mini-tournaments. As before, four clubs will compete in the final stage. The venue of the final stage will be determined when its participants become known.
The four best national associations by rating (Portugal, Spain, Kazakhstan, Croatia) will field two participants each, the others will delegate one club each. Ukraine is to be represented by Kyiv "HIT", which is for the first time won in Extra League.
In force winner of the tournament, "Palma", plus the teams ranked 1-11 and 16-19, will start the tournament from the main round and go on Path A (among them "HIT"). All others start from the previous round or from Path B of the main round.
Calendar
Draw of the preliminary and main rounds: July 5st.
Previous round: August 22-27.
Main round: October 24-29.
Elite round draw: November 2.
Elite round: November 28 - December 3.
Draw of the final stage: will be announced later.
Final stage: May 2/3 and 4/5, 2024.

Format
Preliminary round (August 22-27)
The lowest ranked teams will participate in this round. The teams will be divided into eight groups of four participants each. Seeding will depend on the rating. Pre-selected mini-tournament hosts will be placed in a separate basket. The group winners and the best runner-up will advance to the main round.
Main round (October 24-29)
Path A
The reigning champion, "Palma", the next 11 top clubs in the rating and the teams from 16th to 19th will follow this path. During the draw, the teams will be divided into groups of four each. The four clubs will be pre-assigned by the hosts and placed in a separate basket with seeding numbers retained. Teams from the same country can enter the same group. Possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. The top three teams from each group will advance to the elite round.
Path B
Teams ranked 12-15 and 20-22, as well as the winners of the previous round, will go this way. During the draw, the teams will be divided into groups of four each. The four clubs will be pre-designated by the hosts and placed in a separate basket with seeding numbers retained. Possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. The winners of the four groups will advance to the elite round.
Elite Round (November 28 - December 3)
16 clubs will be divided into four groups of four in each. The draw will take place on November 2. Seeding will be confirmed before the draw. The winners of the four groups will advance to the final stage.
The final tournament
This is a four-team knockout tournament. It will be held at the same venue in May 2024. The venue and exact dates, as well as the date of the draw, will be announced later.
