The women's beach soccer team of Ukraine failed to make it to the semi-finals of the Euroleague
Today, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team played its second match in the Euroleague 2023 Superfinal, which is being held in Alghero, Italy.
The day before, Yury Klymenko's wards unfortunately conceded to the Netherlands national team - 2:3, leading during the match with a score of 2:0. So, to continue the fight for the tournament's honors today in the meeting with Portugal, the Ukrainian women only needed a victory.
Our girls started the first period just perfectly. Already in the 1st minute, Snizhana Volovenko brought our team ahead. However, the rivals did not get together and in four minutes they won back with the efforts of Andrea Silva.
At the beginning of the second 12-minute period, Marta Simoinsh scored her team's second goal, but at the end of the third period, Myroslava Vypasniak managed to bring the game into overtime — 2:2. The Portuguese women were stronger in it. Joana Floresh scored the decisive goal 40 seconds before the final whistle.
