The match took place in the Polish town of Starogard-Gdański at the city stadium named after Kazimierz Dejna and was the debut for acting head coach Volodymyr Pyatenko.
The first half took place in an absolutely equal struggle with a small number of scoring opportunities. Serbia could have taken the lead in the 18th minute, but Milica Mijatović fired over the bar from a good position. But Olga Ovdiychuk did not miss a beat in two minutes. She found herself alone on the right flank of the blue-yellow attack and beat the opponent's goalkeeper - 1:0.

The second half began with an attack on our goal, and Volodymyr Pyatenko's wards were forced to defend more. For some time they succeeded, but in the 64th minute Apanashchenko fouled Filipovych, and Jelena Chankovych restored the balance from the set piece.

But the Serbs did not stop there. In the 79th minute, after a corner kick, Nevena Damianovich sent the second ball into the goal of the national team of Ukraine. Our compatriots could not recover, although Kravchuk hit the post in the 87th minute. So, 1:2 is, unfortunately, a defeat for our team.
The women's national team of Ukraine will play its next match in the League of Nations on September 26 against the Polish team.
